I don’t believe in security
for forever I’ve hidden from it
and it’s not the endings I fear…
but the beginnings.
Endings are easier somehow
easier to walk away
easier to look back than it is
to look ahead.
Because a history book is easier to read
than a crystal ball.
The ones who leave are understandable
and natural.
So forgive me, if I hesitate
at the beginning of a staying.
